Race track debut and starter kits prices announced
Posted by Madabout News on Wednesday, October 25th, 2006 at 09:05 PM

The AMS Murtaya, the turbocharged four wheel drive, 2 seater sports car built in Newquay, Cornwall made a successful race track debut at Brands Hatch last weekend.

Running on track as part of Total Kit Car live the new car acclimatised itself well in illustrious company.

“We only had 400 miles on the new demonstrator prior to Brands, and subjected the car to a day of very hard running,” said Neil Yates MD of Adrenaline Motorsport, the company behind the new venture, “I’m delighted to say the car behaved perfectly all weekend. The Murtaya performed superbly on the circuit, and showed it had oodles of power and the handling to match.”

The Murtaya, which is based on the running gear of the iconic Subaru Impreza, spent the whole day taking prospective customers for a high octane trip around the world famous circuit. Its looks and poise earned considerable praise, including accolades from Brands Hatch owner and former Grand Prix driver Jonathan Palmer, “I think the styling is superb. The use of Subaru running gear is a brilliant idea, and I would very much welcome the opportunity to drive one.”

Murtaya ready to go out on track

“We obviously can’t test the full potential of the car on public roads,” commented Tom Taylor, Production Director for the company, “This event gave us the ideal opportunity to really give the car its head, and boy does it go! We specify it has 150 mph potential, and we have certainly proved that one to be right!”

The order book for the Murtaya is growing, with another car being sold to a local customer in the week leading up to Brands, and the company anticipate that more orders will come following the successes of the weekend.

“Once again it has been very rewarding to receive another fantastic reaction to our car, we really are starting to get the impression we have built something special.” concluded Neil.
