Absolutely fantastic michiel, if anybody has a low moment with their build they only have to look at yours to be spurned on.
Would love to see it in the flesh sort of speak and I hope my build turns out half as good. |
Truly beautiful!

Hi There,
I sold 47 a while ago and now I'm working on a another GRP project. Quite different a Jensen 541R. Nevertheless, maybe you like this film from the new owner who is enjoying my build a lot. He also made some changes to the looks of the car. It has become a Nash now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieSzijh0_8E Regards, Michiel |
Thats fantastic ...great bit of film ...the car looks great ..
|
Fantastic!
|
When you see cars built that well, they are more than just a kitcar... they are a marque in their own right.
|
It is a good bit of footage and the new owner clearly loves the car. I wonder what he paid for it?
|
Michiel - Thanks for posting the video link, the car still looks great.
Although I will still think of it as #47. I'm also glad to see all the build photos have returned as they were all missing the other day. Take care, Paul. :) |
The new owner makes miracles happen,in a few minutes he added 15hp to the power...........from 90hp to 105hp........
|
A fabulous bit of footage, and provides a bit of insight into you crackerjacks that like the no going back, open top approach to motoring.
|
That car is one of the best sammios out there, the footage does it justus and every thing the new owners says is true..... PURE SAMMIO DRIVING. It doesn't matter which country these cars are driven in they still attract the same attention from the public.
You must be proud Michel, be good to see what you are up to now. |
Michel ive pm you.

+1 on the paint. Wouldn't have believed that a semi matt brown would work so well. Looks like a patina bronze which I don't believe I've seen on any classic car before (or on anything else) but it works so well. Someone was very brave to choose it and must have been over the moon with the result.

It is a very nicely executed build and proof that these cars can make the money that they deserve to be in today's market .... |
It is a very nice car , well built and good detail ..its one of my favourites so far ...I think there is plenty of life left in the S*mmio range yet ...its a shame they aren't being straightened out a bit as a combination of initially being quite basic and years of production resulting in mould fatique has made them not particularly commercial at the moment ....
That doesn't mean they aren't still a viable purchase for some builders ....They have always been a cheap start for the accomplished builder .....no more challenging than many Hot Rod projects but the kit car fraternity expect more of a meccano type build from my experience ... |
