Worried..... :shocked::shocked:
I just copied what Hurnleft did: http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/foru...&pictureid=206 For me the tech specs don't really tell me much other than its probably alright...any other views? Looks like this isn't good enough for areas that touch fuel, however as the aluminum pipe is a push fit and the sealant is around the outside edges, the amount of liquid petrol that touch it will be absolutely minimal if any at all, also the tight fit of the pipe wont allow it to go into the tank either, so looks like it should be ok all things considered, I am sad to hear of the trouble you had, can you (Lucky@Lemans) confirm that the issue you had was where the petrol liquid came in contact with the PU18 or equivalent, or did you just use it to seal the pipes so no gas vapour came out like me. Thanks. |
Nearly there, just have to remove and reposition some extra parts from front end to get the front section down to correct position.

Thanks to all of those following my build, I am trying to put as many pictures up as possible and use Flickr for this it says I have over 1000 photos loaded there. Heres the link again: https://www.flickr.com/photos/134265488@N05
Feel free to comment/ask questions etc. This is my first ever build so happy to hear all thoughts, etc. https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5781/...f698a0a2_c.jpg111Imag2e1 by eric holm, on Flickr PS - I have a huge stack of Z3 parts mounting up and will put on ebay at some point, however if you need any let me know! :high5: |

Phew! thanks for the clarification, looks like I will be ok then, however once again sorry to hear of the trouble you had, must have been a nightmare :boom:
|
Eric; you grinded off way too much fiberglass of the bonnet mouthopening. I think you will have issues to fit the grill neatly....

Eric - I just had a look at Bob/Hurnleft's build and found this photo.
http://i1046.photobucket.com/albums/...psyiirozh3.jpg Your bonnet looks very similar and you can see the extra grille surround piece on the floor. So perhaps mobilerobbie thinks you have ground this piece down, whereas I assume you haven't fitted it yet. Hope that helps, Paul. :) |

My mistake, I have the grille installed alrteady and that is much deeper then the original bonnet opening....
sorry |

More adjustment to the front end today means that I get get the bonnet all the way down and locked, just some adjustments to do to line it up.

so when are the door skins going on????
|
I've lots of electrics and tinkering to do before I get to the doors, also take rear-end off and refit, specifically getting the Fuel cap and filling fitting correct so the body goes flush.....Also not sure how the door skins go on? I know there is lots more fiddling to do with locking systems, so getting a lot more done before attempting that. Will start listing lots of parts on ebay now to clear some space.

Good to see you today Andy, hope you found some other useful parts as well as the spot lights.
Due to head gasket troubles on my other car, I should be jamming some camping gear into the 250 and going to Ipswich for the Street Rod Nationals this coming Bank holiday weekend. Well worth a day out on the Sunday (public day) with several hundred hot rods, customs, American cars and even a lookalikeish Ferrari! Cheers, Bob. |
Nice to see you too Bob!
Today I bought £185 worth including:
Probably some more things but can't remember :eyebrows: |
