Just a thought that may or may not have crossed your mind, a couple of coloured bolts, one yellow and one black, and P50 SWB could accidentally end up looking like 250 SWB. Couldn't possibly condone that sort of thing though, not with me being a recently retired bobby and all...

17" wheels, it's the way to go Jeff. It also means the speedo stays accurate.
That's the joy of doing a kit car or hot rod. Look what the others have done. Copy the bits you like, put the bits you don't in the 'when hell freezes over' box and do your own thing when you feel like it. And the important thing is if everybody likes every part of what you've done, you're playing it too safe. It's a great hobby. Bob. |

I'll be at Stoneleigh again , maybe there will be a better turn out from Tribute owners this time. I think I counted 2 cars on the club stand outside last year ? |

I was going to be outside but then was moved inside still dripping mud from doing donuts on the club stand |
I was at Retromobile in Paris at the weekend and there was a "70 years of Ferrari" exhibit which included:

No little air intakes under the front indicators - first I've seen like that.

I intend to use the alloy strip intended for the door top on the join on the sill. It fits neatly and clears the door when it is opened.
I was watching the DNA 2fifty build video (too wet to go outside today) and thought that if I built one, I would fit a sill panel like the tribute, tucking the ends in under the front and rear wing like an MGB. This would just give two small vertical line on the sill. The idea behind this is that I would make the front and rear sections bolt on and not glued on. Some parts on the DNA look as if they would be very hard to remove with the front bonded on, such as the radiator. |

Go for it, but keep the wires until you're sure you're happy with the new ones. Look forward to seeing the results. Cheers, Bob. |
No, no get rid of them quick, they will only take up space!
Headlight trims. I bought some STAINLESS STEEL headlight trims from the morris minor centre. I'm now on my third set in 6 months, all have gone rusty.Has anyone got any suggestions? I have noticed that some cars have been fitted with deeper trims, does anyone have a supplier and have they been rust free? |
I bought my headlight rims from A Stafford along with all my other lights. They have a stall at Newark Autojumble but will also post out. stafford48@hotmail.co.uk
They may be able to advise on the deeper type. Bob. |
Thanks Bob

Thanks Smash, just what I'm after.
