She's finally painted!

After 3 years of running in bare aluminium and hearing aid beige panels 'Marlene' has finally got her clothes on! Painted in Ecurie Ecosse Flag Blue with satin black for the wings. Looks sooooo much better than she did. Done by a guy in Cirencester, who has worked an absolute miracle on the finish. We saved a few quid by removing and refitting all the panels ourselves, which was much more stressful than we anticipated!
Hopefully the photos I've attached will show on his thread, but they really don't do the colour justice. Need to just refit the spare wheel, luggage rack and roof. Hope you like our colour scheme! Rob |
Great colour choice, really suits the Marlin :eusa_clap:

Looks really good!

Excellent choice! It looks excatly like the colour they used on my Marlin Hunter. Can you tell me what it is called as I need to get some touch up paint to tidy the ravages of time on mine! Peter.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. The guy that painted it was a wizard, the panels don't look fibreglassy, and it's a real factory finish. Just need to not scratch it! |
I recommend some of that 3M clear covering on the rear wings - mine are mess from stone chips. Some day I'm going to get them resprayed and cover them.

It's called Flag Metallic Blue. I had my Tribute A352 sprayed in it, having bought cellulose from Ken & Lyn, Buxton, Derbyshire 01298 814813, 07778 165966 or 07779 142188. http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...psk1cwbdki.jpg Regards, Mick |
