Orange 5exi First Time Builder....
Well then....after a year of 'do I don't I' I've took the plunge and gone for a 5exi. I skipped the waiting list though and bought a barely started Orange car from Dan (colour is just the BEST).
Donor Rover is on the drive (1600cc K series) The kit is installed in the garage, although working space is a bit tight :eusa_doh: I have a cunning plan though....to create a 'double deck' for storage of parts below the chassis.... ...watch this space. Any tips for the build??? |
I did the same.
Hi Bigrich,
I tried to build my EXi in a bog standard garage, it's ok for starters, but soon found myself running out of room to work. Initially I bought a small tarpaulin to hang from the 'open' garage door, this then extended to me using the gazebo (which collapsed under the weight of the snow last winter. Now have a delux version, borrowed some scaffolding attached to the front of the garage and covered the lot so I now can work on the car out of the garage but undercover. As my orange EXi is due for sva next week I am hoping to start removing the 'extension'. General advice, take your time. Enjoy your build. Regards to all builders Trev (where are you in the country?) |
Glad you got home safely, and you got all the parts in the garage
Don't forget you promised me some pictures of the finished car  |
