These cars were all inspiration with the 33 Stradale a big influence but instead of doing a Replica I wanted a bespoke design.

Ahh. I see. Ferrari vents. Alfa slanted side window ,ford rear?

Same as the Z300S. Inspired by rather than copied from. Looks lovely. If only there was a suitable donor available now |

Wow, full marks for persistence. A real labour of love, probably, but it could be like a marriage you can't shake off.

Very nice ..with the power to back up the looks

Thanks Guys
I am enjoying the build and coming up with solutions but getting the styling correct as per was very important I have stuck to the late 60s theme The doors are 906 style with Lotus thinking that is a single beam with hinge at one end lock at the other. The Steering rack is very early 912 Porsche. this was extended to get the geometry correct - 0 bump steer to toe out on the last part of travel. The rear hubs are also specially remade the originals badly corroded. only I had a pattern made to use ALFA GTV rear bearings and drive shaft's. The front uprights are Fiat 124 and bigger Wilwood 4 spot calipers Some of these pictures are quite old |
au-yt - Welcome to the forum and nice car.
http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/foru...3&d=1473051586 Have you seen Axel's Dino 206 build? http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/foru...ead.php?t=4789 Which as NeilF355 said earlier has similar curves to yours. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psuzivpcu0.jpg It looks like you have plenty of interest in your project already, so why not start a build thread and tell us all about it? There is a section on the forum for Italian replicas: http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/foru...splay.php?f=20 Good luck, Paul. :) |
Would love to see that glass on a a352. Plus roof

Its not a tribute to any car but a tribute to an era and you can see from the front shot that there is some similarity and that what's I want to avoid. The lowers sections of the front valance are bigger and rounder, ther will be a discrete splitter to aerodynamically balance the rear. If I do start a thread, given I am new to this forum where would you suggest I start? Graeme |
I would suggest the Italian Cars forum is closest to what you have got. I know it is not a copy of a specific car but is definitely in the style of the Dino and Alfa.
Click on this link :L http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/foru...splay.php?f=20 and start a thread there. I would be keen to see it |

Hi Paul
thanks for reminding me I still have this car in my garage... God I have to start working on this again, cannot believe it is already more than a year ago I have touched it... :-( Anyway, I have built a Lotus bike tribute inbetween! Wonder if you have seen it already, it is published in a german custombike magazin this month! http://www.szeneshop.com/Mediathek/Z...e-09-8699.html http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psptylhaqv.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psb5jlckh8.jpg Best, Axel Quote:

Seems we have a similar ideas, I actually like the combo hybrid of the GT40 and the 206 Screen but what you have achieved is excellent, has taken you that long either! Cheers Graeme |
You can find a full build thread under
http://www.allmetalshaping.com/showthread.php?t=12531 but you need to register, it is based on a '86 Kawasaki 600 Eliminator. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...ps7820b87e.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psc144aee4.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...pssqqntdnq.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...ps2qrxtuqm.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...pssiqz8i8a.jpg Sorry for hacking your thread...!
