Zeroing mileage
Is it ok if your registering as donor (my example K reg with has 98000 on) to zero on the speedo?
I know in a normal car this is clocking. But did not know if it's ok in the 5EXI. |
Don't see why that would be a problem, it's what I'll be doing. The speedo need not have come from the donor car anyway, as it's not included in the points system.

I used brand new digital instruments and obviously they came with a big zero... So can't see why you wouldn't be allowed to reset your clocks?
I still got a P plate... |
Ah of course Dylan. I forgot all about your setup. Zero the dials it is then!!
Does anyone know if this is an easy job? |
On any vehicle you're allowed to fit new (& zeroed) clocks, but "clocking" (changing the milage shown on clocks already fitted) is still illegal.
I believe that in this case clocking is permitted, however - a kit car is a new registration and has never been on the road before, so you're not falsifying its milage. Stroller. |
