That really does look good on the move. Its size gives it quite a bit of the presence of a Mercedes 300SL.

Are the twin bumps going to long nose cars???
|
Yes ...they are all long nose . The one above has been widened too . .the second wide body example . I really want to see a silver long nose twin hump car ...Maybe when the blue car sells I'll have to build one . .

But fix that that squeak! Jokes aside, did your For Sale advert generate much interest? |
Struggling to actually identify
the squeak ! I have had a little tweak but its still there ...drives OK though ! Lots of interest but nothing firm . I am going to readvertise her next month . |
The free carandclassic ad worked really well for me. You would need to be a little creative listing in the right section so it gets noticed.
|
Thanks ...yes will put all adverts back up next month . Think its going to Beaulieu too ..see what happens.... Changing the oil this morning and having a play ....will take her out for a run later .

If I ever get this house finished I would want to do a twin hump in silver with red numerals
If ever.......... |

I love the beautiful aerodynamic body, all swoopy curves, then, the barn door of a windscreen! No attempt at streamlining, obviously a reason for it. A gorgeous car.

Looks like it's possibly a modern addition for the comfort of the occupants, although quite why anyone would make it so upright (and ugly?) is anyone's guess.
Period pics show a variety of screens fitted, but this is the one from Moss's record breaking Mille Miglia win - https://oi1301.photobucket.com/album...ps4crhksqd.png Much lower and more aerodynamic looking and, from experience with my Spyder, provides a similar amount of wind in the face protection to a low, full windscreen like you'll find on a Midget, 356 Speedster or early Spitfire. Still a beautiful car though, perspex garden fence and all. |
