Welcome.

As you are from Tennessee, the first thing I should mention in that most kit companies on this forum are UK based.
( So the phone number you supplied would need a dialling code from here. )

However, I am also a member of an American forum and sometimes "car" words mean different things.
( UK = Boot, USA = Trunk, UK = Bonnet, USA = Hood, etc. )

So the next few questions are to confirm what you are actually asking for…

Are you looking for a toy car "kit"?

In which case, I'm sorry but you are in the wrong place completely.

Although you might have some luck asking someone to send you one of these kits, which cost around $20.

But this forum is for "real" car kits, and this is an example of a kit car "body".

Note: You would also need a donor car (in this case a BMW Z3) before you end up with something like this.

The SWB 250 kit above costs over $6,000, before you take into account shipping costs + any import taxes.

Is that really what you are expecting a company to send you based on a single first forum post?

Good luck, Paul. :)

Disabled 11 year old dream car

And I don't know if a billion dollar company would help a child but why you would criticise my post for asking is odd

I agree with Paul, it's an incredibly odd request........if I were helping someone who had lost everything in a fire, I'm not sure that a kit car would be the first thing I would look to obtain. You need to provide more information.......and which is the billion dollar company you mention? I didn't think Nubodi were doing that well.

You can agree with him and odd request to help a 11 year old child wow what a world that people can't help children these days and any company that makes these could help if anyone has anything negative to say why even say it at all this post is for a disabled child so unless anyone can say something nice about helping him please keep comments to their selfs

Paul L 4th September 2016 08:59

Where exactly did you see see me criticise your post?

You didn't actually mention you had a donor car and you still haven't said what the donor car is.
( Which has a direct impact on which kit car body would be suitable. )

The Tribute kit example I listed is not made by a "Billion dollar" company.

It is made by two men who work long hours just to make ends meet.

You appear to be confusing UK kit car industry with Ford, or Toyota, which are big companies.

So my comment about asking for something with a relatively huge value is made in that context.

If you want to take offence at that, so be it.

As, believe it, or not, I actually spend some time on my initial reply.

But in the age of digital SPAM, if you really don't know what was wrong with your first post, I can't be bothered to explain it to you.

Cheers, Paul. :)

Oops, cross post.

Must type faster.

Have you tried googling the phone number...

oxford1360 4th September 2016 14:37

If one enters the phone number into Google, the returns are quite interesting. It is a sad coincidence that someone else appears to be using that number for other things. You need to get on to them and ask them to stop otherwise it could undermine your good work.

Thanks to those that reported this thread. An obvious scam so have deleted the phone number and banned the user.
