Hi Craig.

Well done mate.

A good feeling isn't it! Now get your MAC and forms you think you need for registration, and go to your nearest local DVLA centre. They will advise you on all the forms they think you need and book your reg inspection while your there.

Well done , Craig!!!!!!!! Congats on your SVA pass.

It's certainly a great feeling when you get your pass certificate.

Make sure you get a colour copy too keep, because they take it off you again when it gets registered.

Now you have the frusrtating bit of form filling and getting it inspected. Not difficult but a bit tedious. Don't forget your MOT and you'll need another £165 for Mr Brown.

Cheers Guys!

The guy on the right in the photo owns http://www.a1autocraft.co.uk/holding-page.html and he was telling me that dvla newcastle are pigs!

They would not let him register new once as the speedo had more than 4 miles on the clock!!

I have been told I will not need an mot as registering new?

With the MOT, it seems as though they have different opinions, depending on who you speak to at the SVA. Take a chance and go to the DVLA centre will save quite a bit of time, as if it's done by post, they sit on it a bit. They will also check the forms you need. And advise if an MOT is needed. Mine did not. John Dry did I think. Same time SVA roughly. Ian's did not. A bit later.

Well Done.. it puts me to shame, I really must find some time to get on with my car again.

Cheers Steve! Trying to get the car sorted back to the way it was pre sva...

As for the mot it's defo not needed for a new car and if I had to get one I would be up the creek! As I would then be driving illegally after 1 year when it expired?

alackofspeed 16th August 2008 19:38

i didn't need to put my car through an mot.
