SI Spyder

I am about to move to the UK and I will need to have a project.
The Porsche Spyder has always appealed, and the Spyders Inc site looks very professional. However, they don't appear on the list of manufacturers, and I don't see any builds on this site.
Can anyone offer any thoughts please?
I will be based in the midlands and have just sold my Lotus 11 replica, a build from almost ground up, previously had a number of things, JZR which I did from just the tub and wishbones, 7ish things, and a number more.

I had a brief look at the site, is this the car you want to build?

In which case, it does look great.

However, the website talked about shortening a VW floor pan, which (I believe) means an IVA test to get on the road.

This is worth checking in advance with both the kit car company (and elsewhere) so you know what you are up against.

By the sounds of it you have more than enough experience to complete the build.

Good luck, Paul. :)

Thanks, yes it is one of those, the site I found is https://718-rsk.co.uk/
I have been reading IVA very thoroughly, to be honest it seems a whole lot less onerous than the Low Volume Vehicle process here in NZ. At least it's all laid down in black and white with little apparent places for interpretation, and does not require examination at almost every stage of the build, nor does it require pre-approval before you start. (Nor the horrendous cost) yes there is still cost, but doesn't seem to be thousands as we have.

There is a lot of useful IVA info in this thread on another forum.

The lesson here is to build in the IVA requirements from the start, not go back and change the work you have already done.

Good luck, Paul. :)

I have just read all 75 pages of that post on IVA, thanks for the link. It would seem very wise to get a copy of the manual, which I shall do before any work, or purchases.

Sounds like a very good plan.
