IVA/MOT Headlight Test

Hello,

I'm after a little help if possible on what seems a small and easy subject.

I was wondering two things really;

1) What is the minimum hieght that the headlights must be from the ground at MOT & IVA?

2) Where do they take the measurment from, i.e the lowest point of the headlamp to the ground or is it the centre of the beam when emitted on a wall a set distance away.

Any help would be much appreciated,

Cheers Jono

Going by this manual, http://www.completekitcar.co.uk/Reso...anual%20v4.pdf, between min 500- max 1200mm.

I would say that was from the ground.

Hi John,

Thanks for the reply, I have managed to confirm that the min height is 500mm.

The difficult bit is trying to determine the distance between the wall and the car so I can adjust them up to the correct hieght, whilst still being within the correct angles. If I go with the bottom on the headlamp unit then I loose atleast 50mm
