Thanks fellas. It's nice to be at a point to see things coming together and not have all my planning and work so far be totally off!

Hi Garth,
Sorry for the lack of updates on this site! I have worked on it in bursts. I have the door jambs and door frames constructed out of steel and will be skinning the doors in aluminum shortly. https://i.imgur.com/FCHEjP9.jpg https://i.imgur.com/3zlhk1q.jpg https://i.imgur.com/bKTanDo.jpg https://i.imgur.com/QY8zPxx.jpg https://i.imgur.com/DxPA7qA.jpg https://i.imgur.com/W5kTgf4.jpg door handle construction based on 3d scanned/ printed part https://i.imgur.com/gEbilUg.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nuSc9tT.jpg |

Some progress on the door sills, rockers, door frames, door handles & locks, and door skins. I took way too much time to get these cheap anvils cleaned up and polished but I think it's already paying in dividends (I went from 50 grit to 2000).
I made the skins and was really happy after wheeling them up with a subtle ~1/4" crown across the flattest area when resting on the door frames. There were hardly any track marks and I planished out all the stop marks etc. I felt super proud of course. However; lucky me totally ruined one of the skins when wheeling with the rubber wheel to get the bend right around the door frame. The lower anvil really marked it up before I noticed what was happening so I will be starting over on that side at least. I have 4 fresh sheets of 3003 on the way to try again... Wish me luck. https://i.imgur.com/9GNLih7.jpg https://i.imgur.com/RzLoNNI.jpg https://i.imgur.com/3TyEs7V.jpg https://i.imgur.com/mZOwt0p.jpg new lock cylinders from a truck toolbox of all places. They are much closer to the originals than what I had previously. The linkage is made with some simple threaded rod and clevis ends. https://i.imgur.com/Y6imTXI.jpg https://i.imgur.com/kQMc7X0.jpg https://i.imgur.com/l1TBdO9.jpg more structure to the sill and rocker area https://i.imgur.com/D2yFRjs.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8vqrNtP.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6Z8Z7HB.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hOcfecR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/UoHqvkq.jpg https://i.imgur.com/3yllkLD.jpg https://i.imgur.com/KuXrE7i.jpg |

Thank you JG! here is a photo of the push button lock pushing against the rod that pops the latch
https://i.imgur.com/IpbQtxa.jpg I have figured out how I want to trim and flange the area for the door scraper molding.* Just about ready to turn the flanges over on the one good door skin too.* https://i.imgur.com/xg4evQF.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PmPOjVJ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wJNj6sp.jpg |
Well I feel like I outdid myself! Here's some pictures of tipping the edges and fixing the skin on the door frame.

Left side door is now complete! And I was able to get some help to mount the right door. Fit is really top notch.

Thank you JG!

Trying hard to get a nice symmetrical look. This is the more difficult side with space constraints so doing the "A" bank of the engine to match should not give much trouble.
