Peepsy's MX250

Hi guys have joined the gang and bought a Tribute. Chris is such a silver tongued devil beware what you end up buying from him. I have bought the Beast as it has been called by my wife . That is the prototype mk2 with the wings that was created for the show. It now resides in sunny Cornwall. As some are aware I have to go for some back surgery very soon, so will sit in my garage for a long time before i get chance to really get at it. Long time to write a shopping list though and a long time to ask you boys lots of questions. Good luck to you builders and thanks to Chris and Ange for delivering it for me .

Hi Roger. Great to meet you and Lizzy on Friday. The 4 hour drive down to sunny Cornwall in the "Beast" was far more fun than the 7 hour slog back caused by several accidents etc. I did find this BMW's numberplate amusing on the way down....

Glad you love the car, I am missing it already, but I do have the other "diesel" Mk2's engine to get sorted, put a kit on and bolt on a set of 9J's, might have to have bigger front arches!! :bounce:

Looking forward to seeing the progress on your car. Our collective fingers are crossed for your back operation, take it easy.

I now have garage envy. Doing mine outside for now!
Good luck on the rack. Just think of those lovely nurses!

Peepsy 31st July 2012 20:48

Spent all last year building the garage, now something in it which is good. will get a couple of months recoup , gentle rubbing i will cope with. so will have the smoothest primer coat you ever seen. may even have ago and paint myself. Thanks for the luck first time. may still do a runner night before as a bit scared.Wifes a nurse so no sympathy there.

Peepsy 12th August 2012 10:45

Thanks feels like he took half my spine out but fingers still work.love the positivity wasnt particularly tall to start. on a personal note did i hear you have a de vented rear end. taken out of context probably get me red carded. I wouldnt mind seeing a pic in real life thinking of filling mine in. Have I missed your pics somewhere?

seanick 12th August 2012 12:27

Hello Peeps, If you look at the 250GTO thread Chris did some photo shop pics. Iwill start a thread when I get my wheels!

Peepsy 12th August 2012 16:13

You can tell he was a graphic designer, not sure now rear vents no rear vents, front vents no front vents, what you doing with the front ? The big question though is what colour are you going for ?

seanick 12th August 2012 17:30

I think no vents, but may add one behind the b-post....but I may change my mind.....colour....lime green, like stirrings, .....but I may change my mind! I have finally ordered banded wheels for the rear.

Hi Roger.

Glad that the Op went OK. You will be out in the garage before you know it.

Vents? A very personal thing. I like the character they give the car, but different build styles will suit different configurations of vents/no vents I'm sure. I will do some more Photoshopping when I get a mo.....

Light covers? Have a look at the "MX250 light covers" tread.
