The new double build overseas (Germany)
Hi all,

He has yesterday a 2001 mx5 nb purchased with 143hp (light blue) I bought last week a 1998 mx5 1.6.(110 hp) Now they are ready (maintenance, corrosion protection) and so on. Here the first pictures http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...9a03f43a4e.jpg http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...8/mymxrweb.jpg http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...ideleftweb.jpg http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...7c5f98f1a7.jpg Greets Heinrich (Henry) and Irfan |

Today we wanted to eliminate rust.
So far so good. We are now a little closer to the goal, well 1-2% At the 2002 MX all screws and braces were in good condition. However, he needs all new disks and pads, the front caliper we have repaired. Something rust on the metal, not bad, rust removed and repainted, everything goes well. Now all the braces look like new again. Then it was my turn, The rear Swaybar looked not extremely bad but the bushings and end links were broke. The threads of the screws did not look bad but the nuts and bolts could not be unscrewed My decision: I need new parts! That’s live. Pictures say more than words. http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...akesneeded.jpg http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...8/BadBrake.jpg http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...keendlink1.jpg http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...keendlink2.jpg Greets Henry |
Our convertible demo car also had a problem with the rear swaybar, bolts had pulled through the rubber bushes :( All fixed now.
You have a very nice workshop, much cleaner than mine. |
Thanks but unfortunately this is Irfan's garage.
Mine is more of a black hole, because almost everything disappears My Brother told me the RX8 sway bar fits also. A cheap upgrade stiffer and stronger. I am happy, every day a little bit more:icon_wink: |
Today was a good day and the postman my best friend:first:
It’s very hard to get these goods in Germany. The best way is to order in the motherland of kit cars. The traders from UK are very friendly and quick. So I ordered most pasts in UK. Today arrived the first Box spares parts from Mini Spares. Looks good, and the price is great. Ordered On Friday and arrived today. http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/.../PetrolCap.jpg http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/.../Capandpot.jpg |
 here we go

The old Carpet is best protection against cold feet in the garage.:eusa_dance:
Today it was fuc….:tape: cold, but we made the new Brakes and have screwed the "new" painted parts . In 2 or 3 weeks we will be well prepared for the conversion to the GT250 http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...8/coverweb.jpg http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...ge08/frame.jpg http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/.../paintedrr.jpg http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...00367cfff8.jpg |
