Newest Project
Hey everyone.
Donnie here in North Carolina . Just wanted to share my newest project. Its a Bradley GT2 that I purchased for $500 US. I recently changed my website brand from priceofhistoys.com to fiberclassics.org and as part of that switch I will be doing a full tutorial on how you can build on of these for $2500 USD. The goal is to show people that you can build a really cool kit car that will be fun to drive with a little investment. Because kit cars in general seem to be fading in the US it is my hope to get at least a handful of people fired up. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...psd1htrjvx.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps7h5ho13a.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...psow6s7a7g.jpg |
Never seen one of these got a bits of different cars in the design
Look forward to it...good luck |
Thanks!
Bradley Automotive was one of the more popular kit car companies in the USA. They made almost 10,000 of the bradley gt and 500-1000 of the GT2 . The GT2 was their idea of giving a kit car more of a production car feel. |
Looks like quite a challenge - good luck!
Are those car seats or armchairs I see in the picture of the interior ? :) Dave |
HAHAHA. Those are seats.
Not a challenge at all. Remove the body, clean up the chassis, paint body, finish interior, etc. Once I start I figure It will be on the road come spring. Quote:

I REALLY LIKE SOME OF THE AMERICAN OFFERINGS FROM THE 70'S AND 80'S...They have a quirkyness about them that is quite retro nowadays ...
That looks like a Beetle based car if the gearstick is anything to go by ... I had a half Beetle , half subframed Manta Montage with a Renault V6 in it years ago that was imported from the U.S. I loved that car ... |
That is correct. It is a VW Bug based Car.
|
Looks like fun :D
Glad to see you are still actively working on kits! Does it have an engine in it? Munky(king) here in MN. |
Hey munky. Good to see ya. I build 1-2 a year just don't say much. This one has a horrible little 1500cc
|
Looks to be a great project for very little $$$.
Absolutely loving the alloys. Seems like they were quite popular when these kits came around but you rarely see them these days. It's going to be a looker on those for sure! |
Saw this and immediately thought that you would find this interesting...
Shades of classic corvette and Cadzilla all rolled into one - https://www.vwheritage.com/blog/2016...w-info-sought/ Me likely a lot! |
