Jaguar D Type Replica V8 Project FOR SALE
We have FOR SALE the following car:
http://i1046.photobucket.com/albums/...psc0a112b5.jpg Unfinished project JAGUAR D-TYPE replica based on a TVR 350i Tasmin V8 chassis and running gear. The running gear is all stock with TVR 3.5 V8, manual 5 speed gearbox, independent suspension and disc brakes all round. The only deviation from stock is a 4 barrel carb conversion instead of injection. The car runs, drives and brakes but may require some maintenance and refurbishment. The chassis is very solid, having had outrigger repairs previously done. It has a stainless steel exhaust system fitted. The GRP body is bonded to the TVR GRP floorpan and has a steel internal frame with side bars to support the door hinges. The doors, boot, bonnet and fuel filler flap are all hinged and working, but require some further adjustment and latching. The car has had the V5 logbook changed to "J4G D-TYPE" (DVLA won't allow JAG for obvious reasons), body type is "SPORTS" and is manufactured in 1986 (as the base TVR) on a "C" reg plate which could be changed to a non age related plate once MOT'd. Wish I had the money spare to take this one on, it's right up my street.
Apologies if I'm stating the bleedin' obvious, but, to attract a buyer at the starting price the ad needs better pictures imho. Good luck with the sale and I hope it goes to someone who keeps us enthusiasts informed on progress. :) |
I woulda had that, but I spent me money on something else.............

Perhaps you should re read Patton's 'skippy' Spyder build thread, so called because he sourced most of the bits out of skips on industrial estates. :hail: Gary Janes always maintained it would be possible to put a car on the road for under two grand and I reckon Patton probably proved him right. |
Hey Toad still following all threads even though not around.
Its not motivation that's lacking, the spyders in a secret location in Norwich unfortunately I'm on the beach in Penang, haven't been back since October, waiting for UK to warm up before I get the finishing done. Common sense says I should sell and be done with but heart rules and I will get number 58 finished. |
