VDO electronic speedo to mt75 sender

I want to use the gearbox Hall effect sender with my VDO Vision speedo but I am unsure how to do the wiring. The VDO instructions refer to wire colours of their own sender but how should these mate up with the Ford one?
Any help greatly appreciated.
