Any news on this one guys??l

casamolino 30th May 2015 13:34

Good afternoon all things being equal and dependant on the workload that Chris and Dan take on! should be 3 weeks , Geoff .

Tribute Automotive 17th June 2015 21:12

Geoff's car is coming along and will be ready for collection soon. Geoff has selected and adapted some very nice items that we are currently installing.

Great use of Carello lenses combined with Lucas chrome trim rings and light bases:

Side markers are expensive, but make all the difference:

casamolino 18th June 2015 12:36

Thanks

Many thanks for the information.
I must admit, I was hoping they would be cheaper - but then they are the real thing!
The search continues...

Wait a few weeks and the Euro will plunge in value ( thanks to Greece ) and these will seem cheap !

I'm keeping my fingers crossed as we have a family holiday booked in Zakynthos in August. Really not sure what effect the current issues will have on local prices and exchange rates. Hoping it'll be business as usual in the tourist resorts, that there's no rioting in the streets and that Angela Merkel hasn't put her towel on the local cahspoint when we try to draw some money out... :pray2:

Lucky@LeMans 19th June 2015 18:44

We are off to France in August , hope the Euro is around 1.5 to the by then! If I have enough left over from my bonus I'll place my 250 SWB order !

Geoff's SWB in the MOT bay this evening. A pass after a rebuild of the handbrake system on drivers side. A few more things to finish off and then Geoff will collect on Friday.

Oh great, everybody's SWB will be blue!!

ericholm 29th July 2015 19:55

My z3 is topaz blue but I want my swb silver, but now thinking blue so all door shuts/other don't need to be done. Couldn't find a good low mileage silver 3.0i. Still undecided.

Looks great Geoff

eric have you considered using a spray can for the door shuts
If you are going for the classic race car look, the shuts would not have the same attention as the exterior.

In fact Mercedes requested Germany's racing colour was silver so they could save weight by not painting their racers

ericholm 29th July 2015 21:18

Hi, Roadster

Could do this of course but might look a bit c**p especially with my skills and would only find out after full body spray by then it would be too late to rectify, thought about just spraying them up black, need to think more about it.

Thinking of asking local spray shop for some advice when body is on.

Tribute Automotive 31st July 2015 06:46

Unfortunately I have had to delay Geoff's collection date due to on going problem with reliability of door lock set up.
