I've had 3 of those. The last one had the 130bhp Zetec motor so the thought of 150bhp in a potentially lighter and better balanced car has some appeal. Not sure how the hood would work though... |

Knowing your love for white and black livery and drilled body panels - this could be some inspiration

Any progress? And Pictures to proof it?

I was over at Chris's place the other day, he is really busy with other work and it didn't look like the project had moved on much. |
Best Idea ever.
Thanks for the Info.
I'm sorry,I hope Chris find's a little more time for himself and his personal project. mx5teo |
I did spend 15 minutes on Saturday morning trying on a wheel and tyre for clearance.
Before. Stock MX5 14" wheel: http://i1046.photobucket.com/albums/...psmx6ybmr5.jpg After. New 15x9 0et alloy trial fitted with a used 225/50 to check amount of tyre stretch and clearance on steering lock, which is all good at stock ride height. The finished car will be lowered 60mm so may require the front inner arch panel joint seams dressing back a little for clearance: http://i1046.photobucket.com/albums/...ps64rfn8up.jpg http://i1046.photobucket.com/albums/...pswki0hjzi.jpg Not a huge difference in rolling radius and only about an inch in height: http://i1046.photobucket.com/albums/...pssgwa4xxy.jpg Bonnet finally collected from eBay seller (he had £20k in his unfinished Mk1 Escort...), it will need to be combined with the rear edge of an MX bonnet to lengthen: http://i1046.photobucket.com/albums/...psl5xlph2i.jpg http://i1046.photobucket.com/albums/...pshxqlroiw.jpg |

roof mxico
Always more work as it seems.
I am interested in a set when you have finished with your Personal Project. Mine first car was an escort mk1 and I have a lot off mx5 parts and some cars as well. A perfect combination of the past and present for me. regards mx5teo . |

Any Idea when the Kit will be ready? Or don't you have a target date. Any progress? Regards |

No progress I'm afraid, other things have overtaken this project. Back on it in a few weeks I hope.
