I like the lights, what is the new kit using as a donor car?
Good luck with it, Paul. :) |
All will become clear within a week

I'm hoping that it is like a nicer version of what the Moss Mamba tried to be in the 80s. I used to like that car but it wasn't quite right.

D-nose front (shades of Tribute A352?) with Sunbeam Tiger finned rear? Interesting combination...

Going back to Page 1 of this thread for a moment...
AndyP57 & AndyP85 - Any chance of a side view photo of the green "fast build" Navigator? https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-8...110_154706.jpg I'm interested to see what the impact of keeping the majority of the bulkhead / dash section is. In particular, do the sides of the Navigator body shell completely cover the Spitfire body shell? Also does the Navigator bonnet "lip" now sit higher than the original Spitfire bonnet closing level? As this might allow me to keep my tandem line brake master cylinder, a real bonus for me. Finally, do you have any photos showing how much of your donor's rear end was cut away? Cheers, Paul. :) |
I'll get a few more photos sorted for you next time I'm at the unit with the pc on. You've got some good ideas there and if we can help you we're all winners.

Cheers Andy.
I'm still not sure if I will be able to follow the whole body shell route. But my Frankenstein build idea is still a possibility. - Spitfire Bulk Head - Rear internal frame work & lowered floor pans - Spitfire rear wheel arches & rear floor I'll know more in the next few days. Take care, Paul. :) |
Following in the tradition of bringing unusual cars back to the road we are contemplating this little beauty:

I have an old invacar rolling chassis which would probably be suitable and maybe ditch the old villiers two stroke and install some electric power. |
The original had a clip on hard top and although electric would be greener, I'm sure a range of Motorcycle engines would do the trick for power (How about a Hayabusa for the track?)

Donor?

Not a criticism, I think there could be a market for it. |
The chassis would be very simple and as it's front wheel (Literally) drive, the rear wheels could come from a Lunar caravan or similar
