Better window limiters?

Has anyone devised a better way of limiting the upward travel of the electric windows apart from Normans bent Ally?

I have to wind mine up and then down a fraction to prevent "Thwacking" on the body and rattling when driving, if it could be held firm against something I think it should stop the rattle.

Not that far on with my build yet and was planning to use Norman's limiters.
I guess you could put a microswitch in the door located so it breaks the "lift" circuit on the window motor when the glass is at the right spot?
The likes of RS or Maplin should be able to provide a momentary (ie non-latching) one with adequate current capability to not need a relay as well?
