That's great ....The only thing that jumps out after quickly scanning your pics , is the seats ...I'd change them , they look large and possibly put you in a high driving position .......but its not my car ....so feel free to ignore that !

When I worked at a Classic car sales and restoration place in the 80's we had an EB there , it had a wind deflector style screen and looked a bit earlier in styling to this one ? Ford Pop or even Model Y based from memory as most of these early cars were ...

Have you seen the Forgotten Fiberglass website ? Absolutely amazing stuff on there ...

I agree about the seats. I needed seats that were fully adjustable so my wife could drive the car, hence the modern ones.

I HAVEN'T SEEN ONE OF THOSE AXLES BEFORE ...I am no expert on old Specials but have worked on a few over the years , Ashley , Rochdale etc.

...I think it was Bellamy that used to cut a ford Pop I beam in half and make the two sides pivot independently using a coil over , very similar to this ...

You have got to love this early pioneering stuff .....

Les Ballamy was doing that from the30's to th60's using the transverse springs on everything from ford pops to Bugattis and Bentleys. If you are interested there is a biography of him by Tony Russell 'Out in front' The Leslie Ballamy story.
It is a bit sad being fascinated by some of the 50's specials but there we are.
