G-46 For Sale

For several reasons my G-46 is now up for sale.:icon_sad:
The car is well know on this forum, origianly started by WORLD CLASS ACCIDENT who done all the hard work on the donor. I just put in the time and effor to make it road worthy.
It is tax exempt and has a current MOT.
It still needs a paint job and the interior finishing.
The engine runs sweet but is suffering low oil pressure but this might just be the wrong oil 15x40 instead of 20x50.
Also it will not start when hot, turns over like it's got a flat battery. I have never been able to get to the bottom of this, that said I now have just fitted a new starter motor but not road tested it.
The brakes are now sticking due to lack of use.

Whats it worth?? Well we all know what "No1" sold for and that was unfinished, not road worthy but had a nice paint job. :eusa_dance:

I would like it to go to a understanding forum member and not an e-bay idiot so I'll wait a week or-so just to see if anybody here is interested.
Any questions please ask or if you would like to make an offer or even P/X please PM.

I do not know how to do that!!:fear:
If you google G46 there are a few photo of the car, it's the white "H reg" one.
You could also go over WCA posts and get a few photos from there.

This is the link to WCA detailed build of the car.

Hope this helps

Hope that helps

Apart from a re-wire, fitting the clocks and a screen, that is as far as it's got

Car is now on E-Bay

Reserve is £3,300 just what it cost me.

scimjim 1st September 2013 19:22

Could you let me (or the SE5 registrar) know the chassis number please? I thought I had it from WCA on the Scimitar forum but can't find it (and can't quite read it from the MOT cert photo :icon_wink: )

No takers on the "naked" G-46 so it's in for a paint job.

But WHAT THE COLOUR :argue: :argue:

I'm thinking GULF racing colours, pale blue, an orange stripe with a black coach line and of course white roundels with No 5. :smokin:

Viatron 20th September 2013 22:12

Needs to be a light colour i reckon due to its size so the gulf blue would suite the bill. Good luck with moving it on

micky1mo 5th October 2013 18:44

It's going to be MIDNIGHT BLUE with white roundels
Work has now started.

Brave choice thats going to be a big slab of blue! Think you've made the right move though once painted i think it will get a lot more interest.

Paint Job

I agree with viatron.
I am sure a good paint job will sell it for you.
I can't wait to see it in a dark colour.

Are you experimenting with the artic camouflage look

Looks like the Ferrari ran over a herd of cows...

Charman.tech 6th October 2013 07:12

It may be a big car for the blue, but if you think back to national racing colours I think blue was French and they made some big big cars that looked fantastic in blue.

Good luck can't wait to see it in colour, brave pioneers paving the way for our G46 colour choices.

This is one of the few dark blue Sammios that I am aware of & it is a great colour.

BLUE looks gooooood
After much thought and effort it was a choice between BRG and RED and BLUE.
No1's been done in RED and somebody will do one in BRG so BLUE was the only one left :yield:
The painter says its an AUSTIN MARTIN BLUE, which helps

Have not forgotten the GULF racing colours yet, the BMW powered Pilot will be wearing them later.!!!

micky1mo 8th October 2013 09:11

It's now looking red :fear:
The painter assures me it will end-up blue :icon_frown:

Will look good.

but don't forget the over spray - for that authentic 'Sammio' look!

micky1mo 11th October 2013 14:00

Got the V5 back from DVLA, it reads RELIANT SAMMIO RIBBLE :mmph:
