intercooler fan

I dont know if this would be of interest to other turbo builders but i was a bit concerned about getting cold air to the intercooler and oil cooler at low forward speeds also the heat being pushed out just under the back cover.

this in line boat bilge fan looks just the job as you can connect a 3" duct in line. I have got one on the way but it has not arrived yet.

This topic has been troubling me as well...I also looked at the bilge pump option...are you to push the air thru a fabricated "hood"?...let us know how you get on Tony...
I also looked at a cabin fan to draw air thru the unit...I should be ready to fit my IC soon but still cannot decide on the best position...there appears to be some room on the passenger side quite low down where a possible undercar scoop could aid flow of air thru it...this keeps the hot air at the turbo area away from the IC...but who knows...this is always an issue on mid-engined rear wheel cars...heck the IC upgrade for the VX220 turbo was "water-to-air"...anyone actually got their IC in and had a chance to measure intake temperatures??? :-(

intercooler question

I can't see the point of pumping air to the intercooler at low forward speeds being of any major advantage, as long as a good air supply is funnelled in to it that should be sufficient. The amount of air the engine needs at low speeds is easily achievable even with warmed up air, it is at higher speeds and load where the intercooling is important and that tends to go hand in hand with higher road speed. The best alternative is water cooled unit or find somewhere else to mount ic?. good luck guys. Brian.
