Mark and I know each other - I already have a full set of Mistral moulds ...

The wheelbase is 90".

You'll also find the first TVRs were made using two Mistral bodies ..

Also early Fairthorpes and Bucklers were shelled with this ...

Cheers

Chris

Fabulous looking thing!

I agree, thats a great looking thing, with real jump in and go appeal, especially with TVR underpinnings (whatever they are, must be good)!
Nice big doors......

Good to see that Columbo doesn't limit himself to the Sammio/Ribble thread.

Now that I have been very kindly offered the use of a set of Mistral moulds by "Electron" (see post at top of page), I don't need to create any moulds from the shell I have, so the logical thing to do is sell it.....simple :dizzy:

Dont dig the side vents but feck do that grille!

seanick 26th January 2013 21:24

Whilst I agree with Down and Out, I would keep it historically correct, as possible!

Tribute Automotive 28th January 2013 21:26

Both is an option :juggle:

My Mistral shell and Ford Pop chassis have now been sold and delivered to Italy to it's new owner.

Chris Gale has kindly lent us his set of Mistral moulds, and delivered them to us today. Thank you Chris :tea:

Having now had a chance to study the moulds, we have calculated that we can offer a set of 4 sections of the body (as the mould shown), that can be bonded together to produce a full shell, for £795 (no VAT).

We will be producing the first set of panels over the next 2 weeks and announcing options and costs for bulkheads, doors etc.

Due to present workload, Dan will be dealing with all of the Mistral information and orders, he will be starting a new tread shortly.

Tribute Automotive 9th February 2013 21:20

Placing the moulds very roughly, it looks as if the shell will fit a Spitfire/Herald chassis and/or tub quite nicely, plus options of longer wheelbases.
