The Zagmad special, at last, I hope ;-) |
Now can you do that as a convertible...
:-) |
Unless the roof is badly dented, I think you'll find that, oh never mind WCA!

If anyone's undecided on what they want Chris to build them next - here's a few ideas ;) - http://www.ferrariexperts.com/etcete...a%20Island.htm

Wonder what a lancia fulvia would look like on a mk2 mx5's proportions and on a z3.
|
I've bought the wheels and had tyres put on them. Their in a metallic grey colour with blue flakes in the mix. Rota flashbacks in 15 inch by 7.

After a long discussion with Mrs WCA it has been agreed that the round door Rolls Royce or any other Art Deco streamlined style car is a silly idea and simply not practical.
Obviously I fully support my wife in her decision of what my opinion will be. So... ... She hasn't ruled out the idea of another car altogether which probably means that deep down she wants me to build one. Agreed? I sloped off down to the cabin and relaxed in the hot tub drinking Crafty Hen and reading back issues of Classic & Sports car and Octane and realised what she meant when she said "You are not having another f@cking car you stupid sh!t" She meant she wanted something like a cross between the Mercedes CL V12 that she liked and an Aston DB5 or perhaps an Intercepror. I shall Google big GTs while desperately trying to think of a decent donor. S Class mercy would be ideal if it came apart like a Z3. Big Audis or Lexus? Suggestions welcome |
I've sent a pic to Chris of what it may possibly look like working with the mx5's front screen and the angle. So sort of similar to the lancia fulvia. Just need to sort balance of overhang. 3inch shorterish.
|
Looking to use the Alfa rear screen only thing is I have to drive their as they wont deliver due to its fragile nature. Gonna take the chance of having a mold taken off it so it will have a return to fit it. Been looking at a colour on a ford kuga its a light metallic green. Havnt told the mrs haven't told the wife the colour maybe changing.

WCA ... Your wife has a lovely turn of phrase - I had a good laugh.
I also like that you know what she really means! |

The style is as above but in a metallic grey. Dsg4me did his home work and found the exact style of wheels I mentioned. Mine are one colour and not two toned. If you look up the Alfa Giulia gt and deviant art you'll find he's used similar wheels on a silver car with a red bonnet. The rota flashbacks aren't far of the design

Just a suggestion ;-) (Maybach Exelero) |

The Chrysler C300 - is mostly an old Merc E-class (W211 model) |
Nick that would fit over your Merc
The glass area is close Mrs WCA can't argue its not another car its the same one just different |
Mrs WCA can't argue - I assure you she can, even in a room on her own :-)
|
ZAGMAD ...Next time you change direction with your project , please bear in mind I'm parting out a Herald at the moment and the roof and glass are still available ....
:-) :-) |
When you say herald roof what does yours look like. Is it the single window with a small triangle window going into the boot or is it a double window at the side like a 2+2
|
Whatever happens with my roof it will work with the donor and with the period of the wings and panels from the Alfa gt . I'm trying to be sympathetic to both. Imagine a curvier version of the fulvia roof that flows with the windscreen. Was looking at the tr6 roof just not sure on it needing a stretch as the mx5's width seems to be wider than most English and Italian cars of that period other than the 2+2 specials if Ferrari.
