You did the sensible approach and removed the carpet , I almost had a fire :)

Drummajor 7th February 2016 14:31

Fuming ... I'm so angry grrrrrrr

Just had a good morning on the car, putting it away I shut the up and over garage door straight onto the back end, took a chip out the paint and body... I've not even driven it yet since the re paint...
I'm so pissed ..lesson learnt there.
:(

I so know that feeling

WorldClassAccident 8th February 2016 07:48

Ooh that sucks.

Tip to make sure your car is fully in the garage - park it properly, hang a tennis ball on a piece of string so it just touches the windscreen. Now, whenever you park it just drive forward until the tennis ball just touches the screen and you know you are in the right place.

Sorry if that tip is a bit late. Also useful to stop you driving too far forward into the garage where there is clutter in front that is out of sight lines.

Progress

Finaly started to see results, change the screws for black ones then it's sorted. It took me 3 evenings to do that!!!

Only damage is too my knuckles :)
Trim panels are currently at a friends getting edged in red. When they are fitted I will post a few pics

mazdarazmataz 13th February 2016 13:46

I meant where garage door came down on the bodywork? Just cos im morbid :3

mazdarazmataz 13th February 2016 13:48

Just out of interest are you allowed to say how much you paid for the paintjob?

Drummajor 13th February 2016 13:54

A grand .
Did most of the prep my self, stripped it down and masked it up, then put it all back together.
Hoping to take it too a car show/ vehicle meet in Newbury on the 28 March

mazdarazmataz 13th February 2016 13:55

Hey thats not a bad price

Drummajor 13th February 2016 13:56

They had it a week, but like I said I did a lot of the prep

mazdarazmataz 13th February 2016 14:01

It would be great if, once finished you did a 360 walk around video and posted on YouTube. I'm considering building one similar to yours. If I was closer to Dorset I would have bought one by now.

Drummajor 13th February 2016 15:34

When it's done , I will email you loads of stuff
Ps I'm in Hampshire not Dorset

mazdarazmataz 13th February 2016 15:36

That would be great, tribute is in Dorset, is it not?

Drummajor 13th February 2016 15:38

Yes . :)
They can deliver though

Drummajor 21st February 2016 12:37

That's an improvement , bit of engine bling and some go faster bits.
