Need some advise.

Fuel fill dilemma

I have a Cobra style flip top cap recessed in top of rear fender like many have used. The fill used 2 inch ID hose.

How did you get from the Z3 filler tube to the cap?
Reducers and smaller fill hose?
Ultra flexible fill hose that CBS sells (which ID)?

I'm ready to cut up some exhaust tubing bends and make a weldment if necessary. Help please.

Have you read jagtvr's fitting for the relocated filler. Describes all the components required.

I have, many times. I want to locate the cap further forward on the fender
for a more direct fill. Again, some have done this before.

If you mean like the Kobras try the Tribute page on Facebook.

molleur 21st August 2018 19:03

Don't do facebook!

Barber 21st August 2018 19:11

I have just asked for a step by step guide with parts and suppliers. On the Facebook page.

appreciate that! Will stay tuned. I don't mind cutting away some sheet metal either. (no registration issues here in Florida).

Sorry but on holiday with limited internet. Before I left I spoke to the chap who has taken over nobodi, he is using a larger diameter flexible pipe that fits OVER the original filler and is then necked down to fit the filler cap. Looks like a good idea.

I sure would like to know the source of that flex pipe.

Thanks, much appreciated.

I know that Kent is not exactly handy for Florida, but Car Builder Solutions stock lots of fuel system parts (as well as lots of other goodies).

I have made an inquiry this afternoon, thanks.
Nubodi also replied directly and was very helpful.

Sorry for the delay, I was away and trying to get stuff from FB to this site on a mobile phone defeated me. Looks like things have moved on anyway. The reply from Belinda Jane Wednesday relates to the new build agent mentioned above.
