Visited Tribute today and here are a couple of photos, showing the probable window detail and a hint of complete body. Not yet in Botticelli's class, but showing lots of Pininfarina style.

Thanks to Chris, Dan & Gary.

Looks very nice, I will down on Monday for nit picking!

The only displeasing thing to my eye is that the vents slope in opposite directions but I can't see a way round it.

DaveP 12th May 2016 20:15

That is looking very good now - my compliments

Dave

Thank you but I cannot take any credit for any of the work on this car ...Purely Chris and Dan ...I was just hanging out there today and giving Chris a hand ..

The car is looking very pretty indeed ...I really like this one ...

Triumph Special 12th May 2016 20:52

She's a beauty!!! A credit to all involved. I wonder what colour would suit it best?

How about a swb front wing vent?

mazdarazmataz 13th May 2016 04:20

Wow very pretty

Edgik - I sure you will be turning a lot of heads when this is finished & painted.

And, like Casamolino & WCA before you, your original idea has produced something special.

Tribute - Brilliant as usual.

The range of cars you have produced in just a few years is staggering. :first:

Good luck, Paul. :)

Of course, what were those blokes at Pininfarina thinking when they threw the original together?

In fact, I'm sure this photo is of Steve McQueen complaining that the vents on his 275 are all wrong.

It's a tribute to the 275, so if the original displeases your poor eyes, take it up with Ferrari.

From the last picture I think it is quite clear that Steve is obviously pointing out the front vents and the fact that haven't got them quite right :loco:

What would be the chance of getting Chris to produce the roofline as a separate hardtop on the convertible version?
It could either have buttresses at the side similar to an XJS or use the old Denham MG Midget trick where you took the boot lid of and a separate boot lid fitted between the car and hardtop producing a fastback effect.

I love the look of it but just couldn't live with a tin (GRP) top.

DaveP 13th May 2016 06:06

And as to the what colour should it be ?

Well that burgundy colour is what I would have suggested anyway (never seen the Steve McQueen one with the excellent vents.

Absolutely agree with these sentiments - another beautiful car.

I think you'll find that the chap in the black jacket is actually WCA checking out a crack in the filler around Steve's door handle. :eusa_think:

How much ? Nice with no roof too !

Saw this up for auction today

A few more pics. A few changes/improvements to implement, then more sanding, filling........

I am really liking the proportions of this one.

Reference the 'C' pillar vents, not a problem, the 275 kit will only be available in convertible form.

Triumph Special 15th May 2016 18:40

Like zoiks, that looks amazing! Well done!

Mister Towed 15th May 2016 19:41

That really does look very nice indeed. Any reason why it won't be available as a coupe when it goes into production?

I would like Kidge to finish his 275 in his own time before someone else finishes one. I don't want the same thing that happen to Geoff and his SWB to happen again. Plus in business terms it is more cost effective/profitable to produce convertible kits due to the extra labour and materials vs sale price of the hardtop kits.

Jaguartvr 15th May 2016 19:58

An optional hardtop would allow the builder to spread the cost and for you to sell an add on later.
I'll persuade tomorrow!
