Electrical help/advise needed!
While trying to sort out my electricity leak I've found that:
d+ on the alternator is going to the starter solenoid, whereas it should be going to the warning lamp on the dash via a switched source. b+ on the alternator that should be going to the starter solenoid to charge everything is plugged into the "thing" circled in red on the below pic that is bolted to the water pump. Anyone what it is and what it does? http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...psbd935ead.jpg My only guess is that perhaps it should be d+ going to it "instead" of through a warning lamp? |
it looks like a radio interference suppressor.

As he ^ said, it's to stop radio interference.

Cheers both.
Alternator wiring now sorted! Just the fuel gauge and optimistic oil pressure gauge to go :) |
