So I was at the Stoneleigh restoration show today and I spotted this nice tribute 250swb in the car park (i'm presuming it was a tribute one)

Full profile tyres do wonders on these.

Can't fit full profile, 75's foul the shocks, 70 profile is the maximum. Do be careful as most 70's are "C" tyres meaning commercial and are designed for vans. Your insurer probably would't pay out if they spotted it. Van tyres on a 3 litre sports car would probably be deemed "unsuitable".
This car came up before, has some nice touches to it and it is wrapped not painted.
More details on customer builds on the Nubodi site. Has very nice seats from an MGF.

There is still a fair bit of choice for 70 series tyres for car use but I agree you do need to check. I seem to remember the red Nubodi demo car had van tyres fitted. I think you would have to be involved in a very serious accident before tyre type would be factored into the equation by an insurance assessor, best go for the correct tyre from the start if possible.

Agreed, young child walking out in front of you, that would do it.

The bumpers change the looks on these cars....think tribute are missing a trick.mould up some Grp ones for you boys to get chromed like in the other thread

Lucky@LeMans 25th October 2016 09:29

You mean " bumpers " , Tribute have moulded some for the yet to be realised 275 kit.

Jaguartvr 25th October 2016 10:31

I believe from the owners last post that the rear bumper is GRP with a chrome wrap and the front bumpers are retro stainless steel, probably from Harringtons.
