Hi Simon
I have one 3.0 v6 manual 4 speed, engine just rebuilt, just passed mot ready for summer, was not quite ready for Stoneliegh, note the back end is not as all other Madison's it carries the spare wheel Regards Craig |
What a pity, I was on my own again. But really amazed how many people are interested in them.
I bet it's quick with a 3.0 litre! My 1200 nips along well. Maybe we will see you a another Show later in the year? Cheers Simon |
Saw your car at Stoneleigh MrRed and got some pics, very very nice it is to.
I reckon the Madison would sell as a new kit today, not sure what donor car though, maybe a Herald/Spitfire rebody or maybe a complete update using BMW mechanicals. |

https://static01.nyt.com/images/2012...I22a-jumbo.jpg Today it's called the Bufori La Joya. Made in Malaysia, it's an expensive ($150,000) fully finished car built by the Bufori Motor Company. I "think" that Bufori bought the rights to build the Madison from GP back in the 80's. The production facility in Kuala Lumpur has an installed capacity of 300 vehicles per year, and the company employs 108 skilled craftsmen. The name Bufori is an acronym that stands for B - Beautiful U - Unique F - Funtastic O - Original R - Romantic I - Irresistible. |
I think if you returned it to its purest state it would look better...Those Bufuri are an aquired taste, I think!
I Love my Beetle based one, but I guess today you'd be looking at the BMW like other ex Ford based cars. |
quick question, I need to get at the windscreen wiper motors, any idea how I'd go about that? There doesn't seem to be access under the dash nor from the engine bay?
Also, can the engine cover be removed without getting destructive? I'm toying with the idea of putting an MX5 engine in there but didn't want to lift the whole body off. Thanks |
will have a look at mine and get back to you
Regards Craig |
Perfect, thanks very much!

On my car dash out

Thanks for the reply and thanks for looking. I've had a quick look but I think I need to do more digging, the dash seems molded in in my car, ugh.
