Rover epc

I have just received in the post today and installed it the Rover epc and played with it for a while....I'ts handy to know the prices of things before I order them and the part no's of course

limpabit 3rd August 2006 07:14

Yep it is a good sorce even to identify parts. What Month have you got?

craig 3rd August 2006 08:35

Hi, I did not know that there was different months but on the disc it has (end 2005) Does this make a differance though as everything is online so it must be constantly updated? Is this not the case?

The EPC gets released every month. Does not matter but prices will differ and part numbers may change or get superseded.

Will be good as a guide though.:)

I was down my local reg vardys this morning which only sells new Rover parts!
I have only just discovered this a few days ago so have bought all the odd stuff that is not available on ebay new like the bracket to hold the cables behind the hand brake etc

I told them the other day that I was biulding a kit car and they were quite interested so today when I went to pick up the parts they gave me 20% discount and a half hour tutorial on the epc which I thought was good!

They were telling me that it's almost certain that China will be making the mgzr and zt soon

Where do you get the EPC from :eusa_eh:
Dont think i need it as the only thing i have yet to get is the brake carriers for the ZR
i have found the rest of the braking system on line Calipers/disc's

Craig

limpabit 3rd August 2006 14:56

I got mine off the guys at www.rovertech.net.

A good site of tech Rover stuff.:)

BIG_Fella 4th August 2006 13:14

I havent got me brakes yet but i found them on this site
http://www.global7b.co.uk/speedways/rover-(mg)-c55.html
and this site
http://www.needforspeed.co.uk/pages/...PartType=BRE16
the second site dont list MG calipers but as far as i can tell the brake calipers are the same for 200/25 and ZR please check this with your rover disc
it is the carriers that are differant
i cant find they online so got a price from rover about £50 plus vat

Jerry I already have all the calipers and carriers but am wanting to replace with zr160 ones which are different as they can accomodate the 282mm discs instead of the 262mm which is on the lower spec zr and 25 which are all the same apart from abs sensors or no sensor

The caliper assembly for the 25 and zr 105 is showing at about £68 and the zr 160 calipers at £141 each

Enjoy your hol

MG ZR160, Rover 25GTi, MG ZS180 all share the same front discs and calipers (282mm).
But beware that changing the calipers may effect pedal feel.
I've had to swap to a larger master cylinder from a ZR160 to get a nice firm pedal.
You can also use ZR/ZS discs with Rover 620Ti/623GSi Auto calipers with only minor modifications.
HTH?

Jerry, You can get the carriers and calipers off Rover main dealers at a price of £ 141 caliper and £41 carrier each for the zr 160 but I have been told by Rover that these will only fit under a 16" wheel!! I'm not sure about this maybe someone else can clarify.

I use 15" Rover Turbo wheels - they fit fine.

Anybody want a copy of August 2006 EPC?
I can host an ISO on my webspace...

limpabit 18th August 2006 07:07

Yes please mate.:)

BIG_Fella 18th August 2006 07:20

Sounds Like a great idear Grant
Just being Dum what's a ISO :noidea:

Jerry

limpabit 18th August 2006 07:23

An iso is a cd image file.

You can load it rto Nero or you favourite CD burner program and make an EPC Cd with it.

Or you can do what I do and use Deamon tools Virtual CD and just use the files. That way you don't have CD's all over the place. I'm not a tidy person!

If you need help, let me know.:)
