Stoneleigh 2016 Map and Roll Call

Everyone welcome. Tribute cars get priority parking on the Owners Club stand although we haven't run out of space yet.

The Club Stand is a rectangle of grass with no facilities so bring chairs etc if you want to sit by your car. It is close to the cafe which does food and drink.

I will try to remember to bring a whiteboard or similar so people can leave messages for each other about where they are planning to meet but I guess most of you will have phones etc.

So,

Name: WorldClassAccident
Car: Z300S Barchetta Short Nose Configuration
State : Finished, well apart from....

We will be there in force, with 3 workers and myself and four cars. Two on the Kitcar stand, one in the for sale area and one on the Italian replica owners stand on the outside.

Look forward to meeting you all there.

Thank you for once again organising this Nick :eusa_clap:

As in previous years, if anyone would be so kind as to park their cars on the Tribute Stand in the show hall, I will be as ever very grateful for your for help.

Please PM, email (info@tributeautomotive.co.uk) or call me on 07901 544241 to confirm details.

Not sure about stand size or what we will have time to build, if anything, for the show yet.

WorldClassAccident 20th March 2016 21:29

Mine will be the Z300S Short nose. Happy to have it on the stand as usual but might confuse the punters. If you can arrange transport I guess we could get the long nose up there too and swap them over from time to time...

Redandy 21st March 2016 11:58

i'll be there in the (still half built) MRS200, and Nathanial will be there in a finished MRS200.

trev dunn 22nd March 2016 17:47

I'll be there on Sunday with my SWB convertible regardless of the state of the build. Looking forward to it.

I'd offer mine but it's still in primer and I'm only their Sunday, but I'll be parked up in the Tribute area outside

Has anyone done the camping before? Is it worth doing? Anyone else doing it?

Yes- for the last 10 years or so. There is a clubhouse with beer and "entertainment" see organisers for details. The showers are pretty basic. The on-site food shop is quite something if a bit pricey.

jones 19th April 2016 15:13

Thanks IanA - the jury is still out on this one!

IanA 19th April 2016 17:16

Yes- take a winter grade sleeping bag and/or a warm companion. Ice on the tents overnight is not unknown. Some people pitch theirs in the cattle sheds.

It's a shame that the Blackdown Lodge is now closed. It was VERY basic with plain rooms and no en-suite facilities but it was on site (near the Kennel Club building) and cheap enough.

zagmad 19th April 2016 19:10

I wonder. Would mine fit in ;-)

Lucky@LeMans 25th April 2016 11:38

Who's going on which days ? Would be good to meet up with those going to the LeMans Classic. I can go either day at the moment.

jones 25th April 2016 11:54

So neither day is looking good weather wise, I think they should move the event to the end of May bank holiday to get better weather. We will be heading up on Sunday - although a) without the MX250 b) not staying over night this year

trev dunn 25th April 2016 19:55

Good news and bad news. Progress on the build has been better then expected, plus my mate who has the body shop has just finished the restoration on a customers Daimler SP250 (Dart) so there is a spare bay at his premises, so my car is now down there but totally stripped down to get the panels straight, level and the gaps set better then I had previously. Since they will be doing the spray job, with a little help from yours truly its the best place for it to be, consequently I wont be coming down to Stoneleigh in the SWB. I will still be coming down but in my daily run around and hoping to pick every ones brains and take loads of photos to help me along.I have a load of pics but I am not much good on the PC but I will try to post some pics. looking forward to it. Trev

Sorry that your car won't be there Trev, but great that's if going for paint. Looking forward to seeing it finished. See you at the show.

trev dunn 27th April 2016 16:19

Thanks Chris, I was looking forward to the run down to Stoneleigh in the SWB almost has epic as the run from your place up to Bolton. I have been running the car since I picked it up in Feb with no problems at all. I have managed to transfer so photos onto my PC, just need to see if I can post them on the forum. Thanks for the offer of the hood motor/pump will pick it up at the show, I can at least show you the pics/ progress if I cant post them. I will be coming down with my mate who has the body shop so he will be able to see the standard he has to aspire to.

Very Andy 29th April 2016 10:23

Hi all,

Anyone know if you can take your dog in to the show?

WorldClassAccident 29th April 2016 10:43

can take your dog in to the show

I am sure your car is not that bad!

:-)

There is no mention of dogs at all in any of the paperwork they sent me. You could give them a ring on 01406 372600 to check.

It is normally a farming show area too so my guess would be that dogs are fine if kept under control

Nubodi Automotive 29th April 2016 11:49

Just wear sunglasses and put a coat on the dog and they will think its a guide dog!

We took ours last year, even in the halls, no problem.
They even let my wife in!!

Very Andy 29th April 2016 12:02

Ah nice one. Thanks for the info guys!

amcbiker 29th April 2016 14:52

New tribute Automotive owner

Hi,

hopefully getting my Kobra tomorrow and all being well come up to Stoneleigh for the show on either Sunday or Monday.
Will it be alright to park on Clubstand or do I need to join owners club first ?

Dave

WorldClassAccident 29th April 2016 16:24

Join the club stand. You are now an official member!!

:-)

amcbiker 29th April 2016 16:34

Hi,

thanks for that. Hope to see you there.

Dave

:israel:

hurnleft 29th April 2016 18:29

Hi Dave, If you're there on Monday, I hope to see you.

Bob.

amcbiker 29th April 2016 19:14

At the moment don't know what day I'm going on. It depends on how car goes on collection tomorrow - driving from Devon to Swindon.
Think weather forecast iffy on both days.
