For what it's worth...
All,
Now I don't own a kit-car, rebody or anything like that so my view could be disregarded as having less weight then others. What attracted me to this forum is that I see a lot of great banter, positive feedback, good advice, support for newbies and oldies alike on here. So too is there some occasional negativity - usually toward the kit manufacturers and build agents. Especially comparing them to each other, where their inspiration comes from, why did they copy designs which might not be to all of our tastes etc. Now the people that create the things we enjoy seeing, hearing, building, driving and being individual in are still people. Sometimes it saddens me when the critique comes across as criticism. To coin an old phrase - if you don't have anything positive to say - don't say anything. I would hate for those fellas to get down by comments that are usually meant as constructive - but miss the target. I like this place so look in every day. Might even save enough money and balls to make one myself one day. Be gentle on me then. As I ask you to do with others now. ... Hope I don't regret this post....it is meant sincerely ... Dave |
Well said DaveP.
I think this forum excels in content. cooperation and assistance. Most derogatory comments simply are not taken in the context that was intended. Our clan is rightly opinionated and certainly have the right to speak their piece (as they may see it). I also believe that most of the forum members here welcome constructive criticism and advice from other members. There 'ya go, and I'm a Yank! |
That is a really insightful comment! Yeah definitely why I joined as well.

Spot on, Dave.

Totally agree this has to be one of the better forums, great advice given and you can only improve with constructive criticism.
