Donnington

Went to Donnington today to pick up some brake/suspension parts. Must say the Blue 5EXI-R looked stunning, Terry and Mark certainly had their hands full talking to potential new builders..

Yes the 5EXI-R was looking stunning  in that blue metalic paint job.
Nice rear deffuser too ( Got to get one ).
I also droped off my rear hub carriers and front steering bracket.
 Whos Blue 5EXI was on back of AA Truck on M5 South Bound.

That was my 5Exi on the back of AA going back to Marlin

Had a little problem with the engine mount (sheared bolt) so I couldn't risk driving it on the track or driving it home for that matter!

Shame that I never got to meet you all and sorry to all of you that were hoping to go for a spin with me! One of those days...

But how stunning was the blue 5Exi-R?!?! WOW!!
I tried talking Terry and Mark into swapping cars with me but they were not really all that interested

Regards to all,
Dylan

Unlucky is the word!

To be honest even a flat tyre would have ruined the day so it didn't really matter what broke on the car..

It was the engine stabilising arm that let me down (the bit on the back of the engine - drive side, that you use to pull the engine forward and backward). It was one of the bolts that screws into the egine block - just broke in two... Can't really predict things like that happening!

Ah well... I managed to have 3 trackdays in the last few months and one more to come so I shouldn't really complain that much
