hose problem
Had a major shock today the plastic hose supplied by marlin to carry coolant cant take the temperature of the turbo!! :eusa_doh:
So the temp of the turbo has over heated the the plastic pipe which is about 3 inches from the turbo and the pressure blew a hole through the pipe. Just thought i would let other turbo builders know. i would suggest a stainless steel pipe to replace the plastic one. trevers little helper |
heat
I wrapped exhaust in heat proof material and so far have had no problems :eusa_pray: Brian

I'd imagine it'd be easy to get hold of, and also the best material for additional cooling as the water travels to & from the rad (don't know if it'd make enough difference to be worthwhile, tho'). Stroller. |
Pipes
Hi everyone,
The incident with the pipe happened while I was waiting for the ambulance. At first I thought the damage was far worse. Anyway we have used a short length of copper and then bound the manifold and turbo with tape and the hoses with heat reflective tape, really a job for the ladies but we made a half decent job of it although not plain and pearl. SVA here I come Regards Trev |
