Llandlow track day?

Who is planning on going this year?

alackofspeed 29th July 2008 23:04

Yes, assuming I can get my car back together by then.

MikeR 30th July 2008 07:48

Hopefully and with car this year!

eaa53 30th July 2008 09:17

craig 30th July 2008 10:59

Dont think there is a date set yet but it says must enough cars to go ahead!

Has anyone had an email though? Do people know about it?

Craig

Likewise - trying to destroy the shopping trolley, and putting some names to faces was good.

The way forward, to get as many people as possible on "track" at one time, must be to try and meet at an Airfield day somewhere in the midlands.

I'm going to be a bit wary of punting the 5exi around a proper circut at first - the margins are somewhat smaller on a circuit, and I don't fancy chewing on conveyor belt - airfield will be my choice for this year I think, until I've built confidence in myself and the car.

Motorsports events seem to dominate the airfield days down in the south west, I wonder what the options are further north.

:( Might thoughts was the same as yours for the airfield day. That's why I was disappointed with the weather at Brutny.

SDMC001 31st July 2008 20:09

Anyone know of a airfiled venue in October or late September.

Airfield day?

Hi all,

Not sure of nearest airfield in midlands area...but even I'd be tempted to take mine out if we could meet up....

Lets face it...I'm never going to sell it!

(Just seen one go for sub £5K !!!!----mine stays in my own garage for that sort of cash)

Saturday 23rd of August. As I'm a novice as well. Depending on weather.

Added details of Bedford autodrome to madabout googlemaps.

craig 2nd August 2008 08:30

Bedford are very strict on noise tripping on drive by sensor and you are kicked off!!

SDMC001 2nd August 2008 16:30

Anyone know the noise limit.

limpabit 2nd August 2008 16:55

101DB static and 87 DB drive by.

I know mine at SVA was 95DB, not sure what it would be at drive by. But digging about, you can take the car there to be tested.:icon_biggrin:

So if I get a good break in the weather next weekend, I give them a call to see if I can pop along to get the car tested!

And free of charge.

Reading seloc bedford read about 2-3db higher than anywhere else!

Lots of people paid their money and been kicked off after 1 lap.

My car no good there as 99.5db static and this is with the standard air box which makes it considerably quieter for sva. must be at least 101 with the hurricane fitted
