Ouch!
Get well soon, Paul. |
Ooh, bad luck (again?)
Just finished a set of shifts so I've got four days to get on with my Spyder. I might even post some pictures... |
As a newcomer, I feel obliged to enquire as to the irony/appositeness of your username
I can keep up a stream of pointless questions about the car I'm not building yet, if you like... |
Sorry to hear that mate, i take it was a moutain bike accident ?
|
Bad luck
That's what happens when you try to stamp panels into place. I hope you get better soon.
I am taking a covert week off. It has to be covert otherwise DIY will creep in. I should have some photos of lots of green parts by Wednesday afternoon providing Oxfordshire doesn't get too much rain. |
Not sure if this will work from the phone but here was my ankle on saturday morning

Get well soon mate, you will be back working on the car before you know it. Here is a quick preview of G46 no 1 after some of the changes I wanted to be made

Are you going to the restoration show at the Bath & West in a few weeks? |

Here's my latest tweeks to relieve your boredom.... Aluminium fairings to go over the suspension and rack gaiters.. Made a copy for the other side, and then found the car is a different shape on the other side! http://m250.photobucket.com/albumvie...l?o=1&newest=1 And also the totally unconnected rad cap made from some brass boat fittings |
Different shape either side, your not alone there...
|
Its only 3/4"......built '81. You would never notice until you go near it with a tape!
|
Hospitalized.
Hi WCA,
I am relatively local & have 'pm'd' you yesterday? Hope you will be feeling better soon. Cheers Paul D. |

From Ow! to less ow!

Even I can tell that that does not look right. That must have hurt. I hope it heals quickly.
|
I liked the unnaturally high instep on the first picture.
I like the fact they managed to fix some of it even more. You know it was serious when you spend 3.5 hours in surgery and then 13 in recovery and wake up to the doctor telling you "It is really god news Mr Clark, I think we have saved your foot" Think you have saved it!?!? I didn't even know I was going to lose it. |
Is that called baseball stitching? That looks 'orrible... Do you have to have a cast? or one of those Stormtrooper boots?
|
Dressing and back slab cast at the moment to let the swelling happen.
I also have a very impressive fracture blister (I had to google them too) so the like to have the ability to cut away the dressings and have a look when ever they need to in case the blister bursts or starts to rot. In two weeks I get given a full cast, apparently the platstic storm trooper boots don't give enough support (i have one in the attic fron last time I broke the ankle) and the after 8-12 weeks of that they decide whether I can walk or the should fuse or amputate. Fuse is current favourite with the doctors, walk and MTFU is my preferred option. |
