Final assembly 2cv Sammio

I made a new grill from aluminum(which I still have to cut to size and install) which weighs less then half of the "doormat" that was provided originally with the kit.

Also had to paint the inside...

Now it really started to come together all that hard (and invisible) work. Still a lot of new filler and grinding, grinding and grinding...

The body shop did not have a professional paint booth...

When the first coats of matt black were applied I started to doubt the color I had chosen and maybe I just should leave it that way... it looked fantastic and also the body was super straight.

finally to body shop!

Some further serious modifications were needed to get a straight and solid bonnet.This needed to be done by a pro and he braced the bonnet very good and it feels very solid now. did add a few kg's......

- Widening rear fenders (standard body is too narrow for wire wheels for 2CV)
