I have ordered a fibre glass repair kit from one of the main suppliers. Much better value than the things available from Halfords.

I don't have that luxury unfortunately. Electrolysis might be slow but certainly cleaner that the old wire brush in a drill. And I am not in any hurry.....

That's an interesting idea. I know some owners have replaced the tie rods but that alone isn't that useful. However replacing the torsion bars with coil overs means the suspension could be adjusted....
