totally agree with the drilling method. Perspex & Lexan drill bits are available, but heed the method outlined by LL above.
Let the drill bit do the work. Go VERY slowly.

Would look better if the panel was glassed to the "A" pillar trims.
Just hope you never have to replace the windscreen.

The PU adhesive can be removed carefully with a heat gun and a sharpened...
