yup, yer spot on andy, i did what you advised when i did mine ,insured as "tribute mrs 200,and registered as "tribute mrs200" then everything ties up right on the insurance data base,also likley...

if it still says mr2 on the v5 it could cause problems with mr plod if you get pulled or get flashed by a anpr camera, also might cause insurance issues too ,v5 should state what it is now...

just had a look at the dvla linkabove it should definately come under the radically altered vehicle section i did mine in july 2016 using that section, no probs,i think its got something to do...

hi nick it shouldnt need iva as long as you dont alter the chassis and get the 8 points needed for the rest of the car mine didnt its a body swap, just re-register it as a radically altered...

ps i also think the lights are wired permanent live and switched thru the earth side !! ialso added some 4 pin relays between the existing loom and h4 connectors this will be your solution its all...

just a thought , only other way i can think of would be to reduce edge of roof panal all round then blend the f/glass into the pillars and screen top area with filler, feathering it out then paint...

yes i can just see it in your roof pic a job for mr angle grinder my roof section had a return edge all round that i managed to fit into the small gap between windscreen rubber and "A" pillars...
