Yes Swifty, Rene is right about mandrels, I went deep into this after my failure with the pipe crusher, in the end, I found stainless pipe with the bend already made, and cut my bumpers from that....

I did lots of this stuff while making my bumpers, and really, you've just got to try it first.

Spitfires never ever had that Gary, it was the GT 6's and Vitess's as far as I know.

The Spitties had the swing spring which, is still recommended today
for better handling.
