Welcome to the forum. I see that you've asked about fitting the Alf Romeo V6 engine, my experiences are as in my post above. I don't know much about the Ford engines although I've heard the Duratec V6 engines are really good.
Reliability for the Alfa V6 is as good as any engine as long as it's maintained properly (like anything really), it is quite expensive for parts though - cambelts, tensioners, gaskets etc. Have a look at the Alfaworkshop website for ideas of costs for various parts etc.
Whereabouts in the country are you based?
