Default Why relaunch old kits?

Seeing this http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/kitc...p?shownews=100 in the news section, really makes me wonder why they do it.

Don't get me wrong, this car looks amazing. I would love to have a kit that looked like this.

BUT why?

Why can't we bring it into the 21st century?
The body shape etc is lovely, but you need a Datsun 'Z' car for the donor. Not exactly available at every scrappie . . . .
I know where there is a 260Z for sale at the moment - £7995. These cars are appreciating now, not the sort of donor you rip apart eh?

Why couldn't they build a nice spaceframe and fit a modern V6 of something into it?
