I do take your point but as will be seen soon, the old Cordite is so far away from the new build Navigator when it's re-released, it just isn't representative of the car we will be selling.
The body is different, having been dramatically reshaped and finished, the frame is a different one piece structure with built in lowered floors (Front and rear) and, of course, the old Cordite doors are no more.
The balance on a business point of view is whether to expend costed effort on finishing the old product or put that money into making the replacement better and getting a representative demonstrator on the road sooner rather than later. Selling 'Number 56' on will clear the decks of the Cordite history (Those moulds are to be broken up and replaced with new), and in due course the Pilot will be having the same treatment. It is no secret that the Cordite had issues that made it difficult to build or complete and we see the new design making it even easier than the Pilot.
