E type versions look good for the front. Molded with fibreglass and filled with expanding foam would give a nice classic version of a crumple zone/splitter. Not too ball barish either. Back of the bumper could be cut to allow a snug fit or extended for extra travel :-). Only thought i had was how to attach them eg a bolt on rod or clamp to the donor.
